Bangladesh Tourism Sector to be Promoted inside the Country

Bangladesh’s economy is growing steadily and its middle class population is also increasing gradually. As a result, a sizeable population now can afford to travel foreign countries during the national festivals like Eid, Puja etc.
During the recent Eid-ul-Fitr festival, at least one and half lakh people from Bangladesh went abroad. Most visited countries by Bangladeshi tourists include India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and some other island nations. Rich tourists also go to countries in Europe and in the US.
Bangladesh’s tourist industry has not developed according to its potential yet and the country is not among the popular tourist destinations in South Asia.
In such a condition, Bangladeshi tourists are increasingly going abroad. So, there is a greater need to promote the country’s tourist attractive places among its own people while at the same time promoting it among the tourists from abroad.
